Magic Dirt, an Australian alternative rock band, released their rendition of "Stagger Lee" in 2006 as part of their self-titled EP.

This track is a cover of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds' interpretation.

Magic Dirt's version stays true to the dark and intense nature of Cave's arrangement, delivering a powerful performance that showcases their raw sound and energy.

The EP, released through their independent label Emergency Music, also features covers of The Scientists' "We Had Love" and a live re-recording of "Mother's Latest Fear" from their earlier album Snow White.
