Red Lemon Electric Blues Band
Stagger Lee
Who Shot Billy — 1987

The Red Lemon Electric Blues Band was a British blues ensemble active during the late 1980s. In 1987, they released an EP titled Who Shot Billy under Happy Face Records. This record features their rendition of the classic folk song "Stagger Lee", along with tracks like "Born In Chicago," "Can't Turn You Loose," and the titular "Let The Good Times Roll." Notably, there was a misprint on the vinyl, with the sleeve listing "Let The Good Times Roll" and "Too Hard To Handle" on one side, while the record itself was labeled with "Stagger Lee" and "Too Hard To Handle."
The band gained some prominence by performing live on television on March 25, 1988, where they showcased songs including "Let The Good Times Roll" and "Stagger Lee." Their lineup featured Big Jim Merris on vocals and blues harp, Iain 'Chopper' Williams on guitar, Steve Taylor on bass, and Tony Fernandez on drums.
