Widespread Panic, an American rock band known for their improvisational live performances, has incorporated "Stag-O-Lee" into their repertoire. Their first known performance of "Stag-O-Lee" occurred on January 18, 1996, at the Fox Theater in Boulder, Colorado, during their "Sit & Ski" tour. In this rendition, keyboardist John "JoJo" Hermann delivered a solo performance of the song.

Since its debut, "Stag-O-Lee" has been performed selectively by the band. Notably, on July 8, 2003, at PromoWest Pavilion in Columbus, Ohio, the song was featured during the second set, following "Stop Breakin' Down Blues."
